Post-Central Lip Lift Care

Hospitalization and Return Home

  • There is no need for hospitalization after central lip lift surgery, and the patient can return home on the same day.

Sleeping Position

  • Avoid sleeping on your face.
  • While sleeping, keep your head elevated above body level using two pillows.

Use of Cold Compresses

  • Use cold compresses for up to 2 days after surgery.

Facial Movement Restrictions

  • Limit your facial movements.
  • Avoid severe laughing, excessive talking, or prolonged chewing, especially during the first 7 days after surgery.
  • After suture removal, these restrictions are no longer necessary.

Suture Care

  • Lubricate the suture sites twice a day using Vitamin A ointment.

Brushing Teeth

  • When brushing your teeth, use small and soft toothbrushes to clean your teeth.

Suture Removal Time

  • Usually, sutures can be removed 10 days after central lip lift surgery.

Medications

  • After lip lift surgery, there is no need to take antibiotics.

Final Note: Central lip lift is an outpatient surgery with a relatively short recovery period. Strict adherence to the above points, especially limiting facial movements in the first week and using cold compresses, plays a key role in reducing swelling and achieving the desired result.
