Post-Double Chin Liposuction Care

Hospitalization and Return Home

  • There is no need for hospitalization after double chin liposuction, and the patient can return home on the same day.

Bandage and Special Face Girdle

  • A bandage is placed around the face after surgery.
  • The patient can remove the bandage 3 days after surgery and start using the special face girdle.

Showering

  • The patient can shower three days after surgery.

Use of Special Face Girdle

  • During the first two weeks after surgery, use the special face girdle 24 hours a day.
  • After these two weeks, use the special face girdle only during sleep for an additional 4 weeks.

Swelling in the Neck and Face Area

  • Swelling in the neck and face area after double chin liposuction is completely normal and will disappear after the recovery period.

Reducing Swelling

  • To reduce swelling, use two pillows under your head while sleeping and resting for one week.

Diet

  • Minimize salt consumption in your diet for 4 weeks after the operation.

Smoking Prohibition

  • Avoid smoking for 4 weeks after the operation.

Bruising and Hematoma

  • The occurrence of bruising, hematoma, and darkening in some liposuctioned areas is common and nothing to worry about.

Time to See Final Result

  • To see the final result of double chin liposuction, the patient needs to be patient for a few weeks.

Final Note: Double chin liposuction is an outpatient surgery with a relatively short recovery period. Strict adherence to the above points, especially the regular use of the special face girdle and reduced salt intake, plays a key role in reducing swelling and achieving the desired result.
